Fancy a little web scraping this Friday? @ayima has released another Google Chrome extension today, called Scrape Path. It’s excellent for quickly extracting data from a set list of URLs, and it works on sites that actively block bots or that are behind a login/paywall/firewall/intranet. (link in the comments)

@tnylea @thedevdojo Wouldn’t requiring a user to hook up their GitHub account limit spam easier, without requiring users to run remote code on their devices? It’ll deter most spammers, and if you block by GitHub account ID, it’ll be too much work for the rest to do at scale.

I get a good amount of content submitted on @thedevdojo, and sometimes moderating it can be a lot, especially when people sign up to create spam posts 🥴 Well, here's a new UX I've been working on to try and minimize that 😎

These posts are pushing down Google search results that he most likely doesn't want anybody to see. It's a truly remarkable story of SEO, contracts, deliverables, and ultimately, bankruptcy. @helloitsolly My fear would be increased chargebacks and card testing, which could result in your @stripe account being suspended. Fraudsters like to test cards on small payments.

Should I get rid of Senja's free tier? And instead charge $1 (for life) for it? The benefits of charging $1 - Stops spam sign ups - Adds friction so reduces tyre-kickers - Have card details so easier to get on a paid plan - Represents a commitment so higher activation(?)

@pmkoom @SparkPost It's an acquisition and site migration gone wrong. A few years back, @messagebird acquired @SparkPost for $600M. Then, MessageBird rebranded as Bird, offering a wider range of outbound channels/services. They kept changing their IA, resulting in messy a redirect chain.

Why doesn’t the @SparkPost homepage rank in Google for its brand name? Ah, that’ll do it... 😅
