@BruceNorth46058 No, it would only prove that Joseph Smith translated the book of Mormon by the gift and power of God. It does not prove that the great apostasy happened, that the LDS Church is the continuation of apostolic authority, or that Joseph Smith received the apostolic mantle.

If we had the golden plates in a museum, and every expert in the world agreed Joseph translated the Book of Mormon correctly, would that "prove" The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true? Would everyone be compelled to join the Church?

@sochriscoded Who started this thing that we don't have good bread? We're fat as fuck. Every grocery store has fifty-nine bakers on staff and oven trays that are actually carts on wheels.

@Idlibie @EU_Propaganda No, but you see it interferes with their ability to commit endless genocide against actual Levant people when they can shoot back.

@PeacemakingSt Considering half of my mission acquaintances are also on this site, I tend to run into them fairly often.

@sochriscoded It would be so easy for them to say, "Our bread is better than yours on average." And Americans would be like, "Yeah, it's true!" Instead, they just can't resist being like, "Your bread isn't bread. It's actually processed asbestos fibers and rubber mingled with trans fats."

@ViperfishLife You clearly have never had a lukewarm hot dog bun being force fed to you by a big titty goth mommy at Hodgetown stadium in Amarillo, Texas.

Based on where Joseph Smith lived in his mortal days I’m confident he’d like Midwest Emo. I know he gets it

I think it's an underrated problem in the Church that we basically treat "Church history" as the period between Joseph Smith's birth and the dedication of the Salt Lake Temple. BYU offering a class called "History of the Church from 1893-1970" would be tremendously useful.
Ben S@BSpackman

Taught an Institute class: college and grad students, RMs. Maybe 10-20% of them had even heard of Elder John Widtsoe. Lack of interest in history? Not knowing where to start? I don't know what to attribute this to.
