@timchap @dorfman_p The reason you don’t like the comparison with Brexit is that you know it is accurate. If there is licence and employment revenue to be had that could be used to accelerate our move to renewables then not taking it must be an ideological rather than a commercial decision

Instead of holding emergency meetings, how about giving permission to drill in the Rosebank and Jackdaw gas and oil fields in the North Sea Gas could be flowing in just a few months (and would be already if crazed Ed Miliband hadn’t refused to sign it off)

@KemiBadenoch, I filled up my car today - I paid 149.9p per litre thanks to the war you backed. A month ago I was paying 130.7p But, back in 2022, when you were in power, I was paying over 180p a litre and then, you didn't even consider removing VAT from fuel. You didn't then because you knew it would devastate the UK treasury. You're advocating it now for the same reason.

@Conservatives @CCHQPress This is just an incredibly naive gimmick. More licenses to extract more oil and gas, short of nationalising the asset, will not reduce domestic prices. The big oil firms will trade it on the world market increasing their profits.

I really do not get the issue? If this book is not your cup of tea, don’t buy it. If you don’t like Matt, don’t buy it. Personally,I will be buying a copy as I’m Interested in what he has to say. I wouldn’t however buy Keir Starmers book as I have no interest in what he has to say? You see how this works? Publishing is yet another profession that is dictated to by the left. Horrible, woke dictatorships. If you don’t like someone or disagree with their opinions, it doesn’t make you right and them wrong.

Matt Goodwin, bravely exposed problematic issues in this country. The amount of lack of English speaking residents in this country puts an enormous strain on health care, education and housing . Matt left a lucrative job in education to pursue a road less travelled . Exposing the betrayal from successive governments . His book is out now available on Amazon

@Conservatives @JamesCleverly This is a promise that cannot be delivered and is diametrically opposed to securing long- term self sufficiency and cheaper energy from investing more in renewables. A policy that Tories used to support until they jumped on this bandwagon.
