I know everyone in Labour is suddenly auditioning for leader, but I’d take Angela’s call for a social media ban for u16s more seriously if she hadn’t voted against it numerous times only months ago, when she didn’t even have the excuse of collective Cabinet responsibility.

Why does a state-owned monopoly need to splurge £5,500 of taxpayers’ cash on canapés & drinks in Parliament so MPs can mingle with state-owned rail bosses? With railcards up 16% & unregulated tickets up over 10% on state run trains, it’s a slap in the face to passengers up and down the country. If nationalisation is going so well, why does it need a canapé reception for Labour & @Heidi_Labour to sell it to MPs?🚆🥂 express.co.uk/news/politics/…

The Iranian regime is part of the Axis of Authoritarianism that actively seeks to destabilise the Middle East and undermine global security. The regime actively recruits individuals to target the Jewish community here in the United Kingdom. The Iranian regime poses a direct threat to the United Kingdom and to our allies.

700 illegal immigrants crossed the channel on Friday and Saturday, with more flooding in on Sunday. Shabana Mahmood and Labour have no border control. They are more interested in their leadership squabbles than keeping out illegal immigrants. We face a tidal wave of illegal immigrants this summer as a result. Labour has returned only 7% of small boat illegal immigrants because they refuse to leave the ECHR. With 93% allowed to stay, no wonder they keep coming. We must ban asylum claims by illegal immigrants, leave the ECHR and stop the courts intervening to allow illegal immigrants to stay. This will enable small boat illegal immigrants to all be deported within a week of arrival - back to their country of origin if possible or a safe third country if not. Then the crossings will soon stop. But Labour is too weak to do this.

Starmer, Burnham, Farage, Polanski…These men have one thing in common. They all want nationalisation. That will mean companies run by politicians but paid for with YOUR money. There’s only one party that stands against their failed ideas and that’s the Conservatives.

Labour have chosen. To keep dangerous young thugs out of prison. To let 60,000 criminals out early. And to abolish short-term sentences altogether. They cannot be trusted to keep us safe.

This government’s easing of oil sanctions on Russia is supporting Putin’s ability to wage war on Ukraine. Disgraceful.

💪 Great that Kemi was in Aberdeen yesterday! 😕 Sadly she is absolutely right, the approach to the North Sea by Labour and the SNP is killing jobs. 👍 Only one Leader is unequivocal in her support for the industry. Only one party is fighting for it. Kemi and the Conservatives.

I have been sickened all day by the news of three boys who lured two schoolgirls, raped them, and filmed it on their phones while they laughed and egged each other on. When they finally stood before a judge this week, they were handed “rehabilitation orders” and walked out without serving a single day behind bars. Not in prison, not in custody or a young offender institution. The judge said, “None of you need to go to prison”. What message does that send to rapists? The crime could hardly be graver, yet the punishment was no punishment at all. It’s the collapse of consequences and the rot runs right through the justice system. And this is only going to get worse because Labour are choosing to go soft on criminals: ❌ They have abolished short prison sentences. ❌ They have let tens of thousands of criminals out early. ❌ And now they want to raise the age of criminal responsibility, so that even MORE young offenders escape any consequence at all. My position is common sense👇 PRISON WORKS. ✅It punishes those who do wrong, it keeps dangerous people off our streets and away from our children. ✅It tells every victim that the law is on their side. A country that forgets this is a country where schoolgirls are raped and filmed for sport, and the boys who did it get to go home. Conservatives stand against it and our policies on sentencing and prison are the ones that will deliver a stronger country.

Three teenagers escaped prison after gang-raping two schoolgirls. The country is shocked and disgusted. But it is explicit government policy to send fewer criminals under eighteen to prison. I’ve written to David Lammy demanding he changes course.

Last night Conservatives voted against the Labour’s botched Bill to nationalise British Steel. The Bill does nothing on energy costs, will cost taxpayers billions, and won’t keep the furnaces open. It might not be popular, but we believe it was the right choice. Here’s why👇

Labour borrowed £24.3 billion last month - well above the OBR forecast and 25% higher than last April. Our debt interest spending was the highest of any April on record. The recent spike in borrowing costs shows markets are increasingly worried about Keir Starmer’s replacement, leaving families to pick up the bill for a £300 Burnham Penalty. Only the Conservatives have a leader with the backbone and strong team needed to restore confidence in the public finances by cutting debt through our Golden Economic Rule.
