In 2020, I watched a project die because we couldn’t afford code. In 2026, my mom can build apps in minutes. Story time...
March 2021 - I started #100DaysOfNoCode when no-code was still niche and mostly dismissed. Built dozens of websites and apps. Completed a Bubble course.
Became obsessed with automations and zaps. In hindsight: early agent behavior.
Summer/Fall 2023 - I called Cursor “Canva for development” and started experimenting with AI-assisted development and open-source, local platforms for AI, like Ollama.
October 2024 - I was talking about “vibe coding” months before the term existed publicly. I built an app a day for a week using Create (later rebranded as Anything). Karpathy later coined vibe coding publicly in February 2025.
Today - 30% (maybe more?) of code at Microsoft and Google is AI-generated.
The low-code market grew from $7.6B → $36B.
Cursor raised at a $9B valuation.
Lovable at $6B.
I was early these shifts. And I practiced them before they had names.
