Catching up on Day 7 #PhageWeek2021 If I had a million dollar I'd want to create a human/animal model with viable/replaceable organs to test for phage therapy treatments, where all conditions are simulated as in a patient's body! @phagedirectory @stephh_lynch @JessicaSacher

Huhm,,, definitely, I’d like to develop large banks of phages in my home country, Vietnam - a developing country, due to the high specificity of phages. Yeap! Finally, it’s the last day! Happy #PhageWeek2021! @phagedirectory @stephh_lynch

To wrap up #WorldPhageWeek our last prompt is a creative question to get your phage minds running! If you were given $1 million dollars right now, what phage project would you like to explore? Think new technologies, research & software! @stephh_lynch @JessicaSacher

Day 6 #WorldPhageDay #PhageWeek2021 Fact - Space reawakens viruses news-medical.net/news/20190319/… Fact that I want to know - Do predatory bacteria eat viruses? They are important (pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33906922/) but do they cycle nutrients locked up in virions? @phagedirectory @stephh_lynch

The “Arrowsmith dilemma”: should we pursue scientific precision through controlled phage therapy trials OR provide salvage phage therapy to desperate patients? Our advice: try to DO BOTH. Illustrated by an excerpt from the 1931 movie Arrowsmith. #WorldPhageWeek #PhageWeek2021

I always wonder how phages behave when there is no host and only Eukaryotic cells. Will they get deactivated or will just remain there?#PhageWeek2021

Are phages really just carrying messages from outer space?! I’m not crazy! It was actually written about in the nytimes. We must sequence all the phages! 👽 #PhageWeek2021 @phagedirectory @stephh_lynch nytimes.com/1979/05/07/arc…

It’s interesting that phage-antibiotic combination can be effective against bacterial infections. I’m always wondering about the simple way to determine whether the combined effect is additive or synergistic in vitro. #PhageWeek2021 @phagedirectory @stephh_lynch
