Diddy's legal team plans to bring up the embattled music mogul's mental capacity as a defense during his sex trafficking trial, TMZ reports. On Monday (April 28), TMZ reported the Bad Boy Entertainment founder's attorneys have a doctor lined up to testify about Diddy having a "mental condition bearing on the issue of guilt." While the "mental condition" is not made clear, prosecutors have filed an opposition to the motion, citing that the defense is required to give proper notice before rendering "evidence of the effects of drugs and alcohol on a defendant's memory or cognitive function." It appears as though Diddy's defense will argue that Puff was not in his right mind when the alleged crimes were committed due to being intoxicated. Jury selection for the Diddy trial is scheduled to begin on May 5. Opening arguments are expected to start on May 12. XXL has reached out to Diddy's team for comment.
