Today marks 80 years since our Springfields Fuels facility became a nuclear licensed site! 🎉 #Springfields80 On 28th March 1946, Springfields was named as the UK's dedicated site for nuclear fuel production, the beginning of eight decades of innovation, skills development and contributions to the nation's energy security. For 80 years, our people, technology and dedication to safe nuclear power have helped shape the industry. ⚛️ As we celebrate this milestone throughout the rest of 2026, we will also look ahead to the future of nuclear and the continued role Springfields plays in supporting clean energy.
