I live in a TINY village in sunny Somerset. My friend, who also lives in the same village, told me this morning that 3 African black men have been moved into the village. I’ve got a feeling they’re neither doctors nor engineers. I’m now going to have to go out in the evening to walk my daughter back from work at the other end of the village, because I have to. I’m not risking it. I’m mum. I shouldn’t be having to do this in a quiet, little place like ours. Fuck it. None of us should be having to do this. When is it enough?

@TheBeanEyesOpen Today I gave my mum a Deep Heat type spray in case her knee hurts when she walks. I also warned her not to get it in her eyes because it's AGONY and temporarily disabling. It is legal to carry though.

@DaviniaAli75341 @TheBeanEyesOpen Under Section 1 of the Prevention of Crime Act 1953, carrying an "offensive weapon" is a serious criminal offence. What you describe is a category 3 offensive weapon, which is any ordinary, legal item if the person carrying it intends to use it to cause injury.
