What are you even talking about. It is fully artificial. It is not the same as human intelligence. It's just a brilliant recall machine This doesn't even take into account the wholesale theft of intellectual property without paying any royalties or citing sources when training the models

AI has opened up creativity for me. I describe the image I want and I get it the 1st try or the 10th, lol. And what I do recreate work situations or home life into stories with with people being assigned an animal to represent them. Things that happened to me years ago. It is fun.

When was the last time he shot on film? It seems to me that the only people that have to make these fire and brimstone speeches about ai are people that shoot on digital, but the folks that have stuck with film and practical effects seem to pay no mind to it. It's just digital swallowing digital, nothing more. And film sits outside of all that, completely untouched by that digital ouroboros cycle. I'm not a fan of ai art either, but I just don't care about it. It's just not my bag. Creating my game art and music by hand is something that gives me great pleasure and meaning. But that doesn't mean that ai doesn't have its positives too. I recently started vibe coding like a mo'fo and am shocked by what it can turn out. My next game is probably going to be shot out significantly faster than my five year headache that I'm still trying to wrap up.

AI creates what humans prompt it to create and does that by drawing from everything humans have ever created. It’s a symbiotic relationship humans benefit by creating more in less time, AI benefits by learning more and having more to draw from, which in turn benefits humans even more.

What happens if ppl stopped buying paper, pens, markers school supplies because the needs just stopped? @AVARY Cinematic & artistic illiteracy are concerns. I watched Hokum & Obsession recently. It disturbed me that an effective digital marketing campaign leveraged the inferior artistic achievement into an inflated sense of good. I too want good taste to prevail (albeit a.i irrelevant)

@AVARY Behind every prompt is a human directing the scenes. When I make music/videos with AI, the AI comes up with nothing on its own. The ideas are all mine. I'm the director, the producer, and the editor, and I still do about half of the writing. AI predjudice is the same as any other

@AVARY Actually a good point! Back when LLMs were glorified autocomplete, "artificial intelligence" felt like a reasonable label. But if machine intelligence eventually rivals or exceeds our own, "artificial" starts sounding less like a description and more like a coping mechanism.

@AVARY so say in the 90s a generative AI had been trained to consume kung fu movies, blackspoitation films, gangster classics etc and then it farts out a pulp fiction script but with none of the aura, finesse and grit of Pulp fiction. Are you saying you'd have been be cool with that?
