@CodeRed_dev It is purpose that created us. Purpose that connects us. Purpose that pulls us, that guides us, that drives us. It is purpose that binds us, purpose that defines us. Purpose to make a MMORPG for our first game, Mr. Anderson.

@CodeRed_dev When the new devs start giving up on these crazy ideas, that’s when I’ll start worrying about the game industry 🤣

@CodeRed_dev all the people saying "me" in the comments, not realizing that it's not a good thing lol

My dream was not *just* an mmo, but also decentralized (so no server costs) and physics based, with the simulation running on the gpu in fixed point precision, and rollback networking and...
Well, while I never finished that project, I learned an incredible amount.
Without the dream, I doubt I'd have even learned to code those 10+ years ago. Sometimes you have to aim for the stars, and while you might not get there, maybe you'll hit the moon on the way : P

@CodeRed_dev Is there anyone who actually started with a simple project?
English

@CodeRed_dev jokes on you, my first project is going to be a new legend of Zelda style game!
English

@CodeRed_dev lol, I see myself in this post. Browser based First Person RPG though.
English

@CodeRed_dev I think a week, two Dr.Peppers and a pizza should be enough to finish it.
English

@CodeRed_dev I'm so glad that I figured out that Smaller Games with Modular Elements are better than Immediate Dream Project.
English

@CodeRed_dev The first issue in any creative project. seing limits as walls and not stair steps to work around and build .
Silent hill fog was a workaround.
English

@CodeRed_dev Twelve stories up (in difficulty): A fully P2P fully serverless minimal competitive tournier arcade pong game with highscore table. Zero cost to run for the programmer thus cost and add free to use. Why still so impossibly hard and persistenty remaining so? 😭
English

@CodeRed_dev Unfortunately it's like always until you sit down and think about your past few years of failures, and from that moment of lucidity, you step down and start to work on something reasonable🫤
English

@CodeRed_dev Guess we’re all moths here 😅
English

@CodeRed_dev Mmorpg is impossible genre to succeed
Because core gameplay loop is grind
English

@CodeRed_dev It never fails. I’m making my second game and I decided it was a good idea to try and tackle multiplayer lol
