Ok, I might regret this, but— What's everyone's favorite code editor? 😅

@JavaScript No regrets. I now depend on the dependable, syntax-knowing, Visual Studio Code. The way it handles hideous, intricate kludges is remarkable. Did I mention its extensions can set you free from kludge drudgery?

@JavaScript Why does this question still create so much buzz. All you need is VIM, have used it for decades now and I have also used all 46 most popular text editors/IDEs over last 20 years ( nano, eclipse, sublime, bbedit, notepad ++, .., jetBrains, vscode) and nothing came close to VIM

@JavaScript My first two years were punch cards. Then ed, then vi, then vim. Now, I still use vim daily. I used geany for a while, just started testing sublime text. Modern IDEs are fine, but can become a crutch keeping you lazy if you’re not careful.

@JavaScript I deeply recommend @WebStormIDE. Hands down by far the best IDE for web development 🙌

@JavaScript WebStorm. The answer to this question is always a JetBrains product.
