Day 6/100 🔒 I’ve been seeing “end-to-end encrypted” on WhatsApp and I got to understand fully what encryption means, and how to encrypt data. Encryption is the conversion of information/ data into a form unauthorized parties cannot read. @ireteeh @jay_hunts @TemitopeSobulo

I finally started learning Go. As a security researcher, staying only at the Solidity layer isn’t enough anymore. Protocols don’t live in isolation. They depend on clients, nodes, and indexers written in Go. I'm learning it to understand how these systems are built. I’ll be using Go for: - Protocol research - Security tooling - Exploring blockchain/DLT internals Going forward, I’ll be sharing what I learn, especially where Go intersects with security and audits.

Smart contracts are deterministic. The real world is not. A blockchain can’t see prices, events, APIs, or outcomes on its own. It needs data injected from outside the system. If a single oracle controls the input, it controls the contract’s reality and can feed it bad data. Once that happens, assumptions break. Invariants fail. Decentralized oracle networks exist to reduce that risk. - Multiple independent nodes. - Multiple data sources. - Aggregation instead of trust in one operator. The goal is simple. No single party should be able to lie, go offline, or get compromised and rewrite on-chain truth. From a security perspective, oracles are part of your threat model. If the data can be manipulated, the protocol can be drained. This is why oracle design, aggregation logic, and update assumptions matter just as much as core contract code. Trust boundaries are where systems fail. Happy new year.
