The crunching sound goes again, but from the volume of it tells Edwin it's heading away from them. Then he loosens his hand on the other's mouth and backs up, giving Charles space.

@DtectivRowland The crunch of the crops being crushed under weight still echoes through the still night. At first it comes closer to them, but there for a few seconds there is silence, one that isn't as deafening as hell, but feels close to it.
