@areoff @rclstudio Hell, it makes me depressed even just talking about these people. And amongst small-medium sized businesses in the UK these attitudes are rife. Clients: 🤡 Me: 🙀🤦‍♂️😤🤯🤮😷😵☠️ You know what actually just shoot me now and be done with it.

@areoff @rclstudio I find a lot of attitude where they think it should be an entirely one way street where they set us tasks. There should be no input the other way round. They’re often the same people that can’t understand why a designer can’t just write all the content for their site too.

@areoff @rclstudio Trouble is a lot of clients react that way to any new tool that’s thrust upon them. It can be really hard to get buy-in for effective task / project management for remote work. Moreso for clients that have entirely in-house teams. Worse when you start assigning them tasks lol.

@rclstudio Basecamp was outstanding when it was essentially the only product of worth in its field. They were pioneers in feature reduction and simplicity in SaaS. And yes excellent books by @jasonfried Rework is essential reading for anyone working in tech.

On BBC news earlier: ‘tech expert’ talking about future of autonomous cars, saying most vehicles go unused for 90% of the day. So in future, if timed well, they could drop kids to school, us to work, then go act as a kind of ‘bus’ during the day... They’re inventing the taxi.

House of Lords today debating whether they should be able to vote in a general election (currently only prisoners and peers are disallowed the vote). Stunning hypocrisy. They wish to elect an MP yet are totally unelected themselves. Surely time for the Lords to go? 🌹
