@1AgentLaura @MaizeingPete I remember them setting the threshing mill up when I was about 5 and threshing a couple of fields. Lining up the tractor with the belt drive. Blowing a pile of straw and then they forked it into the baler

Mr 88 talking about his early years this afternoon. Hauling 6 to 8 cans of milk to cheese factory everyday by horse 2 miles. Hauling 20 bags of oats 3 miles with a team to feed mill to get ground. Carrying 100 lb bags of layer mash to second story of chicken barn. Water pumped by hand and carried up as well. Hauling firewood 3 miles to town by horse. Sold for $3 a cord.

@MaizeingPete @KeithWells6 Idk, the feed mixer/silage wagon/hay wagon/loader tractors are a pair of 2350s…open station of course 🤣 that being said, grandpa had us set up the thrashing mill his dad bought new in ‘27, and that was an experience I don’t need to do every year 🤣

I need to find one of these balls. My kids don't believe me when I explain the pain of taking one of these to the face, in March, when the ball was covered in slush. The sound it made when kicked is burnt into my mind as well.

Congratulations to Joost van der Heiden who was acclaimed as Background Director and Jairus Maus & Lisa Pallister who were acclaimed as Feedlot Directors. Returning this year is Don Hargrave who was elected as Cow-Calf Director and newly elected Don Scott as Eastern Director.

@KeithWells6 @Pasztor79 @AdamJPfeffer I think Leeds-Grenville was around 70% of normal. Those poor farmers in Prince Edward and Lennox & Addington had a terrible year. Something like 37% of normal.
