@1jon44 @MrCasey62 Ok so I work out my salvation as a result of my faith that I’m saved no matter what, why do I have to do so w/“ fear & trembling” if I’m assured salvation? The giant “nothing burger” you posted doesn’t answer the question.

Even when you quote both verses, you still lose. Philippians 2:12-13 says to ‘work out your own salvation’ because ‘it is God which worketh in you.’ That’s the complete opposite of the Catholic position. Catholics teach that you must do works in order to be saved. The Bible here says you do works because God is already working in you. One says works cause salvation. The other says salvation causes works. You’re still trying to use a verse that proves salvation comes first to support your belief that works come first. That’s actually impressive levels of missing the point.
