Since so many people took issue with me saying that Masters of the Universe was a hundred times better than D&D Honor Among Thieves, I thought maybe I had misremembered the latter's quality and decided to revisit it. Ugh. D&D:HAT is the most bland milquetoast 5.5E/Daggerheart-esque adventure imaginable. Nothing is cool. Nothing is badass. None of the men are muscled up and they don't even try to make any of the women look beautiful. Adam's silly HR boss could probably kick the crap out of the main HAT cast. It is funny in parts, and that's it. I'm glad that Gygax and Arneson's names didn't appear in the D&D movie credits because I'd hate for anyone to think that any of my games are remotely like that film. Masters all the way.

Just got back from taking my Nephew to see @mastersmovie which was third time for me but first for him. He barely knows who He-man is but he really enjoyed the movie!

Finally saw Masters of the Universe. It understood what it was supposed to be and was not ashamed to deliver the goods. It gave me a Ratatouille moment where I was transported to my childhood, playing with the toys. See it while you can, esp. if you're an 80s child.
