I just streamed 007 First Light for 13 hours straight. I’m enjoying the game but I would greatly enjoy it more if they tweaked a few things and added a harder difficulty. Here are my thoughts playing on hard mode. Fix these and you got a game. @IOInteractive @007GameIOI

Marathon Season 2 Feedback :) - Cradle is a great addition - Enjoy the new character - The spooky dark vibe and the new enemies work really well together and I’m excited to see where the story goes. - Managed to do the puzzle and final boss room, guaranteed prestige loot seems equal to a cryo vault. Only downside is how fast I got high tier gear, also levelling seems faster, feels like I got to level 30 in a day.

@AoEPriest @Pirat_Nation Valorant, Apex Legends, several other flops that died the first week it’s just more live service slop content. They perfected this genre with Destiny 2, one of the most bloated and money grabbing attempts of all time. The games look and play the same minus texture packs.

Marathon players thought they bought the full game for $14 but will lose access to the base game after the free week. During Marathon’s free-play week, some PlayStation players noticed they could purchase the Deluxe Edition for $14 after claiming the free trial, so they bought it thinking it was the full price. However, the $14 purchase only included the Deluxe Edition extras, such as the Premium Rewards Pass, tokens, cosmetics, and other bonus content. Because the free trial was active, the PS Store treated those accounts as if they already owned the base game and charged only for the upgrade. When the free-play week ends on June 9, anyone who only claimed the trial will lose access to Marathon unless they purchase the base game separately. Sony has since corrected the pricing issue, removed the $14 offer from the PlayStation Store, and some people are getting refunds.

@Pirat_Nation I’ll play one of these games when one stands out. Marathon is one of about 6 trillion different always online competitive shooters and it does nothing unique (visually or otherwise) than anything else in the bloated genre. This will go the way of rhythm games sooner than later.

*𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭*: This part got me thinking that we'll be able to control Lara's dual pistols independently: left trigger for the left pistol, right trigger for the right one. Whoever is playing seems to be missing quite a few shots though, so it's still hard to tell whether aiming is manual or assisted, since the HUD was removed for the trailer.

I know this is from a 2024 leak from an early build. But this shit is so ugly and I really hope they don’t go with these character designs. This shit has bothered me since the leak first dropped. The last thing Jet Set Radio ever was, was ugly.

007 FIRST LIGHT Finally finished. Truly the game of all time. Lots to say that I'll get into in a longer review but man this more than lived up to the years-long hype. But I always had faith in IO anyway. Best Bond story since Casino Royale, easy. Patrick Gibson, so damn good.

@Executor250624 Someone in the comments of that video said that the game was originally inspired by og POP. The developers were inspired to convert the deliberate, grid-based cinematic platforming of the 2D Prince of Persia into a fully 3D. Now that I know that it makes complete sense.

These new TR games arent made for the people who fell in love with the game itself. But the aesthetic of the IP. I am not hyped or interested in an Uncharted cinematic version of TR. I wish they found a way to translate the original puzzle platforming with a modern control scheme

Tbh I'm pretty sure this game is gonna be CiNeMaTiC aka max 5h of breezy gameplay... Which is not my thing... Give me platforming and puzzles... But a lot of games today seem to be like that... But trends change too... I just want the franchise to survive until the tides change..

@2sallads @LuciamaTaymyok @BattyWanderer Oh don't get me wrong, I love it. But it's a very big leap into outer space sun lasers and surfing iceberg-induced tidal waves. The movie has some very weak CGI and especially some odd editing choices. The shutter speed stuff during dramatic moments feels like a Bollywood movie.

@RoytaMustDie I like the combat when it’s sparse like in 1. I enjoy doing the acrobatic flip turning around mid air shooting move. Makes the combat a lot of fun. But the developers made the mistake of making it too much of the focus in 2 and I think they reign it back in with 3.

@2sallads The combat in general I don't really like. It's fine against animals since you can use the enviroment to just kill them safely, but I don't care for it in general.

@RoytaMustDie Probably for the best only because the second game is frustrating. The combat was always the least interesting part of tomb raider. Shooting animals works. But getting into shootouts with other human npc’s isn’t fun.

@RoytaMustDie I took a long time to finally play 2 a few years back, and I was actually kind of disappointed because my friend always hyped that one up. But there are just way too many human enemies and combat isn’t built for it, and it focuses on regular man-made areas instead of tombs.

I also don’t like that the crawl text in legacy words it as if it’s a prequel to 64. I would rather reorganize the characters you play as. Legacy also kinda ruins the twist. Combine all the levels into one game too.

If they do a recomp/decomp of Castlevania 64 and Legacy of Darkness, do you think it’s possible that we could combine both games to make the best version of the game? Legacy is overall better. But 64 has the better difficulty. Also voice acting. Better use of time doors.

After about an hour of Marathon and getting past the tutorial, completing my first faction objective to level up, died once in a run and successfully extracted in another, I get the excitement of going back for another run… I love the artstyle and gameplay so far.
