@wideouts Didn’t take long as a WR coach for me to learn a lot of people have opinions about the position or think anyone can coach it … but it takes a certain level of detail and research to coach it the way it should be done

WR is the only position in football that everyone thinks they know how to coach. I see these long technique critiques/advice/posts/comments - then I click on the person’s profile who said it and wonder “Where is this coming from?!” “What is your source of information?” 😂🤦🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

@coachkou I still prefer pistol over offset. You have more run scheme flexibility, play actions are more effective, you can read front-side or back-side for reads & rpos, and you still get the same pass game benefits of gun offset

Whst happened to the pistol run game that was so prevalent . Why all the offset stuff now rather then pistol gun run game?

Rondale Moore had one of the greatest individual performances I've ever seen vs. #2 Ohio State in 2018. He was a True Freshman and completely tore apart a top-ranked defense. Truly a joy to watch him compete. Gone way too soon. Rest in Peace 🙏

New Cowboys DC Christian Parker on his scheme & core principles: - “Being multiple is the probably most important thing about it” - 3-4 by nature, 4-2-5 in nickel - Different front structures, coverages behind it - Confidence through preparation - “Game is won & lost up front”

@CoachFBInsights I bet wasn’t too much of the same offense when everyone was running Wing-T, Power- I, & Flexbone Triple Option though 😂🤦🏾‍♂️

We have too much of the same offense now: Inside zone + Counter with RPOs. Repeat. Zero deception. Zero sequencing. You know what defenses can't solve? Creating numbers at the point of attack. Play sequences where every call creates the next answer.

Route Running “You can have the ability in the world but if you can’t maximize it you will be passed up.” “There’s nothing more alarming in my opinion- a fast guy that’s doesn’t play fast because there’s a disconnect there.” “If you’re got 6 you don’t have 2.” “If I’m pulling a player off the field, you have to be able to come in and compete at that exact same level level or I’m doing a disservice to the Oline, the RB, QB….” “There’s 500 Wr’s running curl routes where do you stack your curl route up compared to somebody else’s.” “It’s not about that you run the route it’s how you run the route.” “That’s the biggest nemesis of greatness, it’s finding productivity when you don’t have to give it your all because you can find your lull showing up and it will catch you at the worse times.” @11W

@ChalkLast0712 At the HS level we’ve ran essentially a split version of it. Our base snag was snag seam flat with a post option if MOFO. We’d also call snag corner flat with the sail adjustment for 2 high. Not exactly the same but similar

Snag is a great play but I don’t like it vs Cloud, especially 3 Cloud. I’m considering giving the Smash the option to break on a skinny post if the Safety crosses his face. Does anyone else run Snag like this?
