@CelticsDan The only chance now is to close out this series in 6 and the next 2 in no more than 5. But this team just plays with their food too much.
English

@35Celtics That’s possibly true, but there’s a very real chance the Eastern Conference Finals would be our easiest series
I think our pathway to winning would actually be winning the conference finals in 5, using the extra rest to steal home court advantage and taking care of business
English

@CelticsDan If we had taken care of business and won the first 3 series in 5 or fewer games, I think we would have been good enough to beat OKC.
The problem is that OKC are going to be super fresh, waiting for a busted opponent to come out of the East. They'll smoke whoever makes it.
English

@35Celtics There’s like 3 different sides to me in the playoffs
Critical
Critical but optimistic
Delusional
That’s definitely how the critical side of me feels at the minute
English

@CelticsDan I'm not nervous because by needing 6 games in this series they have already shown that they are not good enough to win the championship. Stakes are not that high now.

Allan Houston at 55years old still has a smooth jumper. He understands it!🏀 #LethalShooter #AllanHouston #Knicks

@John_Zannis @BustedFlush_f18 There is a structural problem with the award: a GM's role is to make moves today that improve the team in future seasons. The problem is that we don't know the future. Retrospectively, we see, e.g. that Ainge's work in getting Brown and Tatum paid off with a Championship.
English

@35Celtics @BustedFlush_f18 Sure, but that’s not usually the kind of thing that wins you this award. Slashing payroll and making a couple of fringe moves for depth players who aren’t even playing in the playoffs. Success this year is a credit to Joe and the players.
English

@John_Zannis @BustedFlush_f18 I agree that he is really getting the award now for what he did in the past. But, this year he did well by
1. reducing the payroll without giving up too many assets.
2. making some good moves on the edges- drafting Hugo, signing Garza on a minimum, signing RHJ, Amari Williams
English

@35Celtics @BustedFlush_f18 Brad‘s best work was done before this year. This year he didn’t do anything. That’s why it’s funny. Hiring the coach, building up the core, signing key contributors to manageable deals. All that happened prior to this year. This year he just slashed payroll.
English

@BustedFlush_f18 @John_Zannis Any 12-year-old can do this "Mathematics". Brad makes good basketball moves under financial constraints.
English

@John_Zannis Math is probably the most important skill given the current CBA. the world of binary choices - either TANK or go into 2nd apron hell to make a run - is fools good. It’s about sustained success and Im here for it.
English

@John_Zannis I don't think he's that good at Mathematics. The arithmetic involved in getting below the tax etc. can be done by any intelligent 12-year-old.

@primethornton @CelticsMuse Yes. But the offence was bad at the end of the game. We didn't miss 16 good shots.
It wasn't just the putrid 2nd half. If we had played better in the first half, we would have been leading by 20 at half time.
English

@35Celtics @CelticsMuse We were 0-16 at the end of the game shooting definitely played a huge part
English

@primethornton @CelticsMuse Of course, we win the series. But we will not win the title. That's why I'm crashing out. We are putting extra miles into our legs unnecessarily.
English

@primethornton @CelticsMuse We didn't lose because of bad shooting tonight. We lost because of lack of commitment.
English

@35Celtics @CelticsMuse Yea the thing is the Celtics are at their best maybe 2-3 times a series like games 1 and 4 other than that they struggle and shoot poorly
English

@FanaticFen765 @SeanGrandePBP We gave up two 20 point leads in that series.
English

@SeanGrandePBP Knicks series last year I think 3 of those games were some of their worst statistical games of the year. Now 2 this series. Hope it doesn’t hold
English

@primethornton @CelticsMuse OKC at their best are not better than Celtics at their best. The reason OKC win so much is that they have a much higher floor. Their young core and their role player vets are fully bought in and fully locked into the gameplan all the time. They are the most professional team.
English

@35Celtics @CelticsMuse Even if we swept every series until the finals I’d still take okc in 6 they are way to good for anyone this season which is why I’m not really mad at losing today Ik we are winning this series so there’s not much for me to be sad on I don’t have championship expectations
English

@primethornton @CelticsMuse If we had kept each series to 5 games, we would have had a chance against OKC. But we are repeating the mistakes of 2023 (Hawks 6 games).
English

@35Celtics @CelticsMuse I never thought we were gonna win the title imo no one is beating okc at all they are the champs no doubt unless San Antonio can upset them in 7 okc is unstoppable right now so I’m not even looking to be beating them I’m just hoping the gap year Celtics can make the finals
English

@35Celtics @CelticsMuse Ight calm down I’m mad too but we are legit winning the series all we need is 1 more win to advance it ain’t the end of the world
English

@RealBobManning He is probably wondering why his coach didn't play him till it was too late.
English

Asked Jaylen this because in a way, it did feel like the Celtics played really hard for much of this game and it didn’t give them the usual advantages
They haven’t had many losses where they’ve played hard this year
Celtics on CLNS@CelticsCLNS
Jaylen Brown on if the Celtics were the harder playing team tonight: "It's tough to say. I feel like we play hard. I also feel like they play hard as well. It just wasn't good enough from us, it wasn't good enough on my behalf. We just got to be better." - @CLNSMedia | Q: @NoaDalzell
