Dunking on Filoni has kinda reached the point where some of it is just willfull double standards. Part of the reason Fordo from 03 is so well remembered is cause he is the only character in the series to use actual tactics. Everyone else just does mass wave attacks.

The waves of troops actually feel dynamic.
Advancing waves are only the feature for a moment.
The rest of the clip focuses on air strikes, not the advancing waves (because theres no cover).

@3DAnimationSL I don’t think this is a fair comparison for 03 Clone Wars though. They had to condense stories into <15 minute blocks for the series and got, what, 2 hours *total* to kinda summarize the entire Clone Wars? Meanwhile Filoni got like 50 hours total in 23 minute blocks with TCW?

Maul is more in the lineage of noir films than cop shows. Noir deals with cops extensively, but the reality of police violence & corruption and their role as protectors of capital are always at the forefront. I could be wrong, but after two eps, the cracks in the TDF are showing.
