Ware was not the reason the Heat lost last night. He did have a bad game. But the hate I see is coming from the fact fans think he should have gotten the rebound on Durant miss. If you look at the replay though you see Ware boxing out Sengun and Ware had his back turned so he didn’t see Amen come in late for the putback and reacted too late. But what some fans don’t see is Herro, in the zone covering Sheppard in the corner and Amen in the wing bouncing between the two. The problem was as Durant released the shot, Amen broke to the basket while Herro who was close to Amen was watching the shot and not blocking out Amen slipping to the basket. Herro was watching the shot while moving towards the basket without intention. That being said, Heat didn’t lose because of Herro either but because of many collective defensive mistakes, missed open shots, missed free throws, perimeter defense allowing Sheppard and Holiday open looks. Bench unit barely made an impact. Missing 3 key players from the rotation. You can point to many things. But don’t blame just one player
