Agnico Eagle mines gold for $1,200 per ounce. Gold is at $4,796 today. That's $3,596 profit. Per ounce. They produce 3.4 million ounces a year. Zero operations in Iran or the Middle East. The ceasefire expires Wednesday. The stock is still down 12% from January. $AEM

Liberal record: $1 Trillion net investment exodus in 10 years. More businesses closing than opening. Worst food inflation, highest housing costs, and most household debt among G7 countries. Canada's economic foundation is crumbling, and Mark Carney is making it worse.

@MarkJCarney @LucFrieden Oh that is awesome for Brookfield Asset Management, not for the Canadian economy! Invest in the people of Canada, and the GDP will rise. Do not forget the #PWD and seniors are suffering- create solutions for the people- and you will naturally have majority.

Canada and Luxembourg have a growing bilateral partnership across trade, commerce, technology, and defence.    Prime Minister @LucFrieden and I spoke today about deepening our partnership in areas like satellite communications and establishing the Defence, Security, and Resilience Bank.

@MarkJCarney Likely because the majority of Canadians are unemployed, and are broke. I am sure it is because you are putting Brookfield first, rather than Canadians!

More women and men are signing up to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces. Last year we set out to rebuild, rearm, and reinvest in our military. We’re working fast and seeing results – including the highest number of new recruits in more than 30 years.

5-4-3-2-1 Contest. Some of you are in the contest, so I'll post this. I picked my stocks for the contest today. There is one that is super cheap, and I put in a buy order for the Monday open. I also put in stink bids (Good Until Canceled) for the other stocks I have chosen. I went with 8 stocks at $900 each (approximately). I wanted to go with 5, but I could not find 3 to leave out. Lol. I will share them in a month or so. I don't want everyone to copy me. Note: For that one super cheap stock that I'm buying tomorrow at the open, someone told me they are putting all $7500 into that stock. I'll give you that name Saturday night on the next live podcast.

@CityNewsTO Air Canada will be begging for a bailout very soon- mark my words. The supply/demand for jet fuel has not been priced into the markets yet. Why cancel YYZ to JFK but expand longer routes to China? 😒 🤔

@nejsnave I think people there live happier lives than in the West imo. People are more friendly, respectful, and family-oriented there than here.

it's kind of wild how many people back in Canada think that Cambodia and Laos are like barely civilizationary when the reality is you can get a better coconut latte and mani pedi here than you can just about anywhere in North America 💋

@PeterRHann1 Many are calling for a major correction tomorrow. Even if true, the prices of oil will go up especially since when the Straight is more blocked off now than it was ever. Imo oil will be +++

@MarkJCarney Canadians were promised the one-time Grocery Benefit top-up before June 2026. Now it’s June 5. Why say one thing and do another? People are struggling, this isn’t a technicality, it’s about trust. #HST #GST #CRA #PWD

@mobinfiltrator @arenlea_felker @bamboo54 That’ll definitely clean up the noise, but it doesn’t really solve the backend cost part. The expensive piece is still how often you’re polling. You’ll get a bigger win from adaptive intervals, only pulling changes, batching, and grouping alerts instead of firing on everything.

So for some time I've been writing a program. Called it #SignalTrace ... cos it sounds cool! It finally works without bugs. It targets individuals, monitors, and stores all Open Source information on that person. I'm about six weeks from taking it live. But if my low IQ, uneducated ass, can do this, what the hell are the Government running?

@mobinfiltrator @arenlea_felker @bamboo54 Your problem is brute-force polling. Resolve it with delta fetching, adaptive intervals, batching, queues, caching, and alert aggregation. Checking everything every 60 seconds is the expensive part, not the idea itself.

It could. Thing is it’s not cheap to run on back end. I had it set to search every 60 seconds for new OS. I’ve reset to 180 to see how that does. Only reason I wanna stay away from a search every five minutes is if it’s some lunatic like me WILGA tweets 400 a hour that’s a lot of alerts ever 300 seconds.

Quick story about @NiagRegPolice Is this police incompetence? Wife owned a gym in #Welland, #Ontario. 3AM call from officers, we'd been broken into. They got the suspect. He'd fallen asleep. It was a 45 minute drive from Hamilton. Arrived, glass door smashed in. Easily looking at $700 to repair. "Where is he?" "We gave him a promise to appear and drove him home." They released him for a break and enter? I go inside, come back out. "Did you search him?" "No!" "There's $650 missing from petty cash." "Oh." I never heard from them again. Out $1,400 in the end. No call. No disposition. I had someone check the report. They'd shown it as a mischief and not even mentioned the stolen money. Just a really terrible, incompetent service.
