@Carolene_x0 @rsiegel28 My older son (3rd grade) loves baseball (he's a catcher) and math/science/STEAM is his thing. He's been studying the Meta of why a player with better contact % may not equate to higher BA, but could equate to more runs created.

@Carolene_x0 @rsiegel28 I completely agree about that. Also, totally love that you brought those kids to a baseball game. One of my biggest loves of baseball, aside from the Mets, is the science that goes into it. I've studied baseball and softball swings from a science/physics POV.

@Carolene_x0 @rsiegel28 100% agree there. 7 games in is not enough to fire someone...but it is enough to look at the off season body of work and say and be unhappy that the team is under performing when clear needs were not met and more than enough opportunities were available to meet them.

@Carolene_x0 @rsiegel28 So, what I choose is to use my time more effectively. When our team of choice starts down a path of self destruction (either FO of players on field), then there are many more things going on in my life I can pay attention to that are positive and a better use of my time.

@Carolene_x0 @rsiegel28 I'm not really making it a big deal. It's more like, we just facepalm sooner because of experience, LOL. I'm not miserable about the Mets at all. BUT, at the same time, if time matters to you, and losing ISN'T fun...then watching your team of choice lose...also isn't fun.

@rsiegel28 @Carolene_x0 The Mets FO put together a team that is arguably worse than the 2022 team, again relying on 3-4 players to hit consistently. When "consistent" is AT BEST 3 out of 10 successful at bats, that's not a good look. You need 6-7 to be consistent to be successful.

@rsiegel28 @Carolene_x0 First, I'm with @rsiegel28 , I can watch any baseball game, anytime. I'm a baseball fan before I'm a fan of any team. That said, I'm a lifelong Mets fan, and yes, The Mets are gonna Met. They have a track record of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

@RecompileGame Just want to give this game a HUGE shoutout. Finally got to it in my backlog, and must say that Recompile deserves to be at the front of anyone's "to play" list. I'm almost done with it, but it's Phenomenal, will get a replay, and hoping for a sequel!
