@MartinSLewis Martin It’s not only private individuals being prevented from having Banks accounts with UK Banks. We have a number of Yachtbrokers having their Clients Accounts designed to protect clients funds closed with no notice. @TheFCA is ignoring the issue.

There are though to be over 1m unbanked people in the UK. The regulator does need to look at whether banks are political decisions about who they want to have accounts with them (who wants banks to be the arbiter of morals) Yet while less high profile, we should also address the societal problem of the many vulnerable people disenfranchised from finances, because they haven't got the ID, the help or a right to a bank account.
