No one should ever be embarrassed about taking a long time to read a book, or about never having read a certain book. There are too many books, and too few hours in the day. Our reading lives should be joyful, energizing, and additive. Don't let shame or guilt spoil that.

HEALTH TIPS FOR WRITERS • exercise by running away from your plot holes • eat the 4 basic food groups: fruit, suffering, cake, souls • yoga stretch into an alternate dimension where u have a 6-figure book deal • socialise! the ghosts in the walls get lonely if you don't chat!
