In place of a traditional celebration, Lavi Mankovetskey and his family chose to do something extraordinary. They donated an ambulance to Magen David Adom, a gift that, in today’s reality, was needed right away and entered service immediately. Moments like these remind us what it means to show up for others. Thank you to the Mankovetskey family for your generosity, your heart, and your impact.

Following missile fire toward Israel, MDA teams responded rapidly in the Petah Tikva area, treating and evacuating three individuals injured in the attack, a 44 year old man and two children ages 12 and 13, all in mild condition with blast related injuries. MDA EMT Itamar Traktin described the scene: “We arrived with ambulances, mobile intensive care units, and medicycles. There was destruction, broken glass, and smoke. We conducted thorough searches to locate casualties.” MDA teams remain on the ground, working around the clock to protect lives and bring care where it is needed most.

For Miriam Greenman, volunteering with Magen David Adom was about helping others and setting an example for her family. The very weekend she began her training, she experienced an unimaginable personal loss. Today, she continues to serve, even alongside the paramedics and ambulance crews who once helped her family, turning compassion into action every single day. For the past two years, Miriam has shown up for others in their most critical moments, carrying strength, purpose, and resilience with her.

They know the risks of her job, and every time she heads out the door they ask the same question: “Mom, will you come back?” Like thousands of Magen David Adom EMTs, paramedics, and volunteers, Yovel answers the call to save lives across Israel.
