I LOVE this! It is such a powerful way to demonstrate the power of syntax—how sentence variety adds a musical quality to our written discourse. ❤️

Early warning indicators are often associated with 6-12 screening, but non-academic data are also important in K-5. Attendance, behavior, and wellness data should be reviewed alongside intervention and fidelity data to accurately interpret students' ROI and drive decision making.

📖We’re proud of the work happening throughout the state to advance literacy instruction. Claymont Primary School in Tuscarawas County was highlighted as a Science of Reading success story during @GovMikeDeWine’s State of the State Address.

“Gifted” doesn’t mean “perfect.” It often means learning differently—faster in some ways, deeper in others, and sometimes unevenly. What’s one thing you wish you’d known at the start of your gifted journey? #GiftedEd #GiftedOnboarding

@RplusDyslexia @sstollar6 In a research context, an intervention is a deliberate, systematically planned action or set of actions implemented by the researcher to influence an outcome and evaluate its effects. That is how we used the term in this study.

@sstollar6 Isn’t it confusing if they call it intervention? Obviously I was!

New research from SRI Education highlights a gap between the adoption of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) and the depth of reading comprehension instruction in elementary classrooms. Although teachers widely use comprehension-focused curricula and students are actively engaged with texts, most classroom lessons still result in surface-level understanding rather than deep, robust comprehension. This brief explains why this distinction matters, identifies instructional practices linked to deeper learning, and offers actionable steps that school and district leaders can take to ensure students develop meaningful understanding from complex texts. Read the brief here: sri.com/wp-content/upl…
