🚗Exciting changes are on the horizon for the airport area and the ATL Airport Community Improvement Districts! By late 2026, the Automated Transit Network Demonstration Pilot featuring the Glydways technology will bring sleek, autonomous personal transit pods to the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park, connecting the Skytrain to the Gateway Arena. This two-year pilot could pave the way for even more stops, including the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Delta parking, the College Park MARTA Station, and beyond.  These four-seat, on-demand vehicles will offer faster, more flexible routes when buses and trains aren’t running. Big things are coming to your MARTA experience! 🚉✨ The MARTA Board of Directors has approved the Automated Fare Collection (AFC) 2.0 initiative—a major step toward a more connected transit system. This plan includes redeveloping the MARTA On the Go app into a single, powerful platform for trip planning, payments, and on-demand booking—all in one place! 📱Plus, they’re redesigning their website for a seamless user experience across all devices. This is a long-term project rolling out over the next five years. During this time, they’ll be replacing fare gates and bus fareboxes, which will eventually lead to the phasing out of Breeze cards and the Breeze Mobile app. For now, how you pay your fare isn't changing—current payment methods will continue to work as usual.
