The Conservative Party has done all the dirty work to squeeze out investors and halt energy production in the British North Sea for the sake of the green agenda and Net Zero! And today, yet another caretaker leader of my Party is sending out another contradictory message: "Drill, baby, drill!" Who's going to believe you?! Or maybe it's time we apologize for the less-than-smart policies of our predecessors. I'm not the Leader, and I publicly opposed these extremely harmful populist decisions by my Conservative Government to curtail activity in the North Sea, but as a member of the Party, I ask all UK citizens to forgive me for the failure of my Government's energy policy!

It was the previous Conservative government that killed the North Sea. They introduced a 75% super tax on oil and gas profits. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.
