The fact that agriculture takes up 80% of the water use in states like AZ and CA but Phoenix, Los Angeles, and Vegas always get the blame and get restrictions put on them in times of drought is so frustrating. Literally telling farmers no once would fix the entire issue.

@nobodyknows2322 Thanks for driving against the nonsense. The vast majority of water in this state is used for agricultural purposes & can be done more efficiently, in both water & economically, elsewhere.

Those LCOE numbers focus only on isolated plant-level costs for solar and wind, ignoring the real engineering challenges of intermittency — the heavy added expenses for storage, backup generation, and grid upgrades needed for reliable power at scale. 🧻TPUSA dumped huge money into a race most people never even pay attention to… and still lost.
They turned an obscure Salt River Project board election into a referendum on themselves, and voters showed up just to reject them.
Now clean energy candidates hold an 8–6 majority for the first time ever.
And here’s the part Republicans should be sweating:
This is an election where only landowners can vote.
If you’re losing that electorate… imagine what happens when every voter gets a say.

Our condolences to SRP customers who will now have their utilities look exactly like California with the green scam, windmill battery Cabal, who tried to implement the same policies in California and they have rolling blackouts and their utility bills went up 100%. Jane Fonda supported the opposition at TPUSA good luck.

Chris, you do realize that SRP's service area and who can vote within the SRP boundaries are 2 different things right?
Much of Maricopa is serviced by SRP, and is this redder, yes.
But those WHO CAN ACTUALLY VOTE are located in the urban core, which is blue.

For those confused about the @SRPconnect results, here's a visual aid made by yours truly. By picking up two at-large board seats and three acreage seats (4, 6 & 8) the clean energy team edged out @TPUSA to claim an 8 to 6 majority on the 14-seat energy board. @AzCapitolTimes

Update-These results are now public. Pretty astonishing climate story here. Insurgent crowd has chipped away at SRP over the years and now has a board majority. And as a wise source now points out…Unlike at the legislature, there’s no governor to veto a board decision.
