I made myself a cup of tea and then discovered I had made one not 3 minutes earlier. I suspect this may be the beginning of the end

It has arrived! Ready to start hunting a killer in this solo RPG journal game by @AbsurdistProd. That is if I can pull myself away from Baldur's Gate III. Too many fun things to do!

@failfasterjay TTS is a useful tool if you can't get a group together to playtest in person. You just have to keep in mind that the games will take longer and people will interact with elements differently. Testing with a physical prototype will always be incredibly important.

A lot of designers use Tabletop Simulator in order to help them playtest their game. Do you feel this is a good way of playtesting? Or, do you feel board games should be tested how they’re physically played? What sort of tools do you use for playtesting?

Will is at GenCon this weekend. PaleoVet should start delivering to US backers next week, Seven Murders will start delivering the week after, and we will be at @MiracleConOKC at the end of the month.

@RestorationGame The first part is a physical engineering issue. For the second, make it for something more interesting than movement, and I like the idea of making it double ended and players choose one of the two indicated spots. Depending on other mechanics maybe someone else gets the other.

@RestorationGame The thing that usually turns people off from spinners is that older ones were always fairly easy to game and/or hard to read. They were also often used to replace dice for movement, so just roll to move in a different form.

Serious question: As someone who specializes in bringing back old games, I have a burning desire to do a game with a spinner. Have you ever seen a hobby game with a spinner? How would you use one? I have ideas, but I want to hear the wisdom of the masses.

@perryjon I always wanted to make a game where the players start out with all of their powers and have to shed them throughout the game to return to being human.
