Delta, and every state in Nigeria, were created for political reasons. “Delta Igbo” is not a tribe. You are Igbo by tribe and from Delta State by government creation. Your tribe is your origin, roots and Identity, while your state was created and assigned by the government.

If they wanted a 6th State to make up South East geopolitical zones, why not create that from Enugu State? Enugu seems to be the only SE state big enough for that.
