You said you'd limit spending increases to £9.5 billion a year. But you've already increased spending 15 times faster, by £146 billion. Hence the tax rises. Hence the stagnation. You lied, and you've failed. x.com/RachelReevesMP…

A job advertised by the DWP for a 'Shariah law administrator'. I've formally questioned the DWP on what the hell they are playing at... We live in Britain - we do NOT have, or want, Shariah law. This is grim.

Imagine not knowing the difference by moving children across an administrative line that defines child poverty — and actually reducing child poverty. It’s easy if you try.
James Ruddle@boilmyhead

@afneil Imagine being angry at child poverty falling.

All that’s impressive is that your energy policies — supported by all major parties — have decimated our energy-intensive industries, thanks to giving us the most expensive industrial energy costs in the world. Well done. Quite an achievement.
Daniel Barkeley@danielbarkeley

@afneil Maybe the timescale of the previous chart is confusing you. 10% in ten years is impressive. And the tech is getting better. It'll be 20% next decade, and 40% the decade after. And don't blame Green Energy for Brexit and the Conservatives shit industrial policy.

NEW: more sickening allegations aimed at Keir Starmer and the CPS of the rape gang scandal. These are some of the most horrendous allegations about the treatment of victims, that I’ve ever heard. Including one victim allegedly being called a ‘teenage pimp’ and branded a ‘paedophile’ by the CPS. This is the Rochdale case that Starmer boats he took charge of. How much of it did he sign off on? Incredible work by @JournoZak as ever. Please watch his full report in the comments below.

You are aware that oil and gas together still account for 73–75% of the UK's total primary energy consumption (which covers all energy needs across electricity, heating, transport, industry and other sectors, measured in primary energy terms)? So explain to me exactly how ‘you will make it happen’ that we don’t use fossil fuels.

A lot of excitable people on here are upset because the King did not record an Easter message, something his late mother never did either. Instead, like her, he marked the occasion by going to church. In our angry online age, posting seems to count for more than religious faith.
