The first mistake Slot made this season was how he treated Salah because he was out of form. Instead of helping him find his rhythm again, he threw him under the media spotlight, benched him, even for the biggest game of their season. When he was struggling a bit, instead of doubling down on him and playing him through it, there were moments where he felt… slightly disconnected from the team. Not fully trusted, not fully central to everything. And for a player who thrives on confidence, touches, and being the guy, that matters a lot. That move wasn’t just tactical, it was psychological. Salah isn’t just any player; he thrives on confidence, trust, and rhythm. Benching him sent the wrong message…..to Salah, to the team, and to everyone watching. You don’t rebuild a star’s form by sidelining him in the moments that matter most. And it showed. When the team needed him, when the game demanded his spark, he wasn’t there. You could see the difference, the front line felt flat, predictable, and easy to contain. Liverpool’s attack lost that dangerous unpredictability that comes with Salah being fully involved. Their attacking identity still leans on him and with him not in Sync the whole front line look a bit off like something’s missing.

This is not Slot's fault. He would have won if he had a totally different system, tactic, subs and an entire different approach to the game! 🤓 And of course if PSG weren't good..
