@UofOklahoma This is the right result. A TA or professor should not be allowed to negatively grade a paper outside the norm of grading patterns because they find it subjectively or personally offensive. I don’t care what the topic is.

@IvyAstrix @UofOklahoma That’s just petty, an oft repeated atheistic type snipe. The Bible is as reliable as any other quotable source. It’s certainly less variable in its consistencies than Google or Yahoo.

@IvyAstrix @UofOklahoma The assignment was to write a short essay on her opinion, not a scholarly essay of strict references. By the guidelines of the assignment the student should not have been punished for an opinion

@IvyAstrix @UofOklahoma If she gave it a poor grade, but all her notes were about the content of the paper and not the offensiveness of the paper, then she wouldn’t have been fired.
