I love this Edo story from the 15th Century that tells us how Prince Ogun became Oba Ewuare The Great with the help of the ancestors and magic. yourafrodna.com/2022/01/07/oba…

So...I have a book coming out on January 11th 2022 - it's based on my postgraduate research
It's called 'African Spirituality and Folktales in the Americas'. You can pre-order a copy on ebook, or order the paperback on the 11th. I appreciate your support😄amazon.co.uk/dp/B09M42YRHP/…

@_wayeta @__sethunya @AmaraOnwuka @Shaliah88014479 @AlexVivyNnabue Next time put the milk in baby's bath. It's good for skin and hair🤗
English

@__sethunya @AmaraOnwuka @Shaliah88014479 @AlexVivyNnabue The temptation to pump so much was greater for me. Learnt to stop pumping after few weeks since I ended up pouring out most of the pumped milk anyway. The pain before the milk production finally reduced was something else😭
English

@AmaraOnwuka @Shaliah88014479 @AlexVivyNnabue Lol no not necessarily. (Im a trained breastfeeding support assistant). Its not recommended you use pumps til after a couple weeks. But after, you can use a breastpump or hand express if your baby missed a feed. They would have fed there anyway.
English

@Shaliah88014479 @AlexVivyNnabue Which will trigger over-production sadly 😩 and back to square one. Cos your body gets the impression the baby needs more.
English

@Smokingrum1 @AlexVivyNnabue @Shaliah88014479 I slept when my baby slept if i felt tired. Whatever needed to be done i did whilst babywearing him. And youre not always going to feel tired to go sleep when he does. The advice is there to remind mothers to take care of themselves - sleep is very important.
English

@AlexVivyNnabue @Shaliah88014479 Also this thing about sleeping when the baby sleeps is a myth i am sure. Because when baby sleeps there are a million things to do before he/she wakes up again. Bottles, pump parts, teeth and yourself to wash. Plus get something to eat.
