@retneysholocron Rey becoming a pilot happens in the moment because the plot needs a pilot, there is no setup for Rey suddenly having these skills. You could have Poe in the scene and it would be more fitting* or even have something mentioned prior.

@retneysholocron Luke has implied experience with the T-16, and even then he’s not a fantastic pilot even crashing twice in empire. It’s only the use of the force that helps him in the trench run
