RBL Field of Remembrance outside Westminster Abbey was opened on Thursday 7 November by the Duchess of Gloucester. It was, as always, a privilege to represent the Salonika Campaign Society, commemorating those who lost their lives serving with the British Salonika Force.

Day two of the @SalonikaCmpnSoc battlefield tour. Very much enjoyed visiting the Struma Valley for the first time and talking about the development of Anglo-Greek relations in 1918.

@JakeGasson1918 @GPiegais @SalonikaCmpnSoc Jake, it was great having you along, your contributions to the tour proved the worth of the SCS running the Bursary. I'm reporting back to the Society's AGM on Saturday. Look forward to your contribution to the journal next year and hope you will maintain links with the SCS.

@GPiegais @SalonikaCmpnSoc I’ve been before but I’d not managed to visit the Doiran battlefield or get a grasp for the ground in the same way as I did this time. Thanks has to go to @AlanSWakefield for that one!
