@filbfilb What kind of things are you into and how old are your kids? I would say a drive down to Key West is quite scenic and can be fun. If you are thinking about going to the beach I’d say Sanibel island. Depending on the kids I would do the Kennedy space center and finally St Augustine

@TylerDurden @LSDinmycoffee I totally agree, I love the movie on so many levels! VHS or DVD is showing our age, this generation streams and in rare cases, if they want a physical copy, will get the Blu-Ray disc 😄

@LSDinmycoffee I can’t understate how much of a difference the cinema experience will make it compared to vhs or dvd.

I recommend watching this in the cinema in September. Especially for young. I was critical of Terminator 2 in 2016 “it’ll never be the same” It’s the best movie I’ve ever watched in the cinema, so happy I went.

@oledoteth You keep referring to abroad. What is your sampling size? How many countries have you lived in? Or is it just the two-year in the US?

I'm German. I just revisited my home country after moving abroad 2 years ago. What I experienced left me stunned. 17 German oddities I still can't wrap my head around:

@oledoteth I am sure it depends where in the US you live, but generally speaking, fruits and vegetables look gorgeous but are tasteless (in comparison to their European counterparts). Not to mention how expensive healthy food is in America, unlike fast food that is dirt cheap in comparison.

The organic food scene blew my mind. I've been gorging myself on fresh berries daily. The selection at supermarkets like Lidl is incredible, and it's so cheap. High-quality organic produce is everywhere, and it's actually affordable. I don't remember it being this good.

Americans are so much louder than Europeans. Like 10x louder. I don't understand this, it seems so unnecessary when I'm right next to you. The constant noise was jarring and confusing for someone like me who's used to more reserved conversations.

I'm European. I recently visited the USA for the first time since 2018, hitting up Las Vegas and New York City. What I witnessed left me stunned. 15 American oddities I still can't wrap my head around:
