Yeah, I remember an English class in high school where this one kid was so disruptive that he basically ruined the entire class for everyone. For the last month of the term, the teacher just gave up and stopped trying. The problem was his parents were rich and donated a ton of money to the school, so the principal told the teacher "tough shit" when she tried to kick him out of the class.

@jasonwilliamsmd It took me 4 separate trips to the ER to finally get them to do a CT scan and see I had appendicitis. I'm pretty sure what happened is that when they asked me about drug use I told them I smoked weed, so they just assumed I was faking it to get painkillers.

Testicular cancer has a 95% cure rate when caught early. Zac was 22, had a swollen testicle, abdominal pain, and months of worsening symptoms. He saw multiple doctors. Not one ordered an ultrasound. By the time his mother paid for a private scan, it was stage 3. This is the failure I see over and over. Young men get told they're too young for cancer. Women get told their pain is anxiety. The scan that takes 15 minutes and costs almost nothing keeps getting skipped in favor of antibiotics and reassurance. Imaging is not an overreaction. In a young patient with a palpable mass and escalating pain, it's the standard of care. His mother did everything right, and she is the reason his story is reaching the people who need to hear it. Rest in peace, Zac.

The final season of The Boys started yesterday and... I just can't do it. Not right now anyway. I'm in a headspace where I hate that every "adult" show is just nonstop swearing and gore.
