When a Quaker would visit Massachusetts they'd cut off his tongue, carve a Q onto his cheek with a knife & tell him if he ever came there again they will kill him
Also a huge portion of the Puritan population almost immediately became Unitarian after religous freedom was established with the passage of the constitution

Puritan Massachusetts was probably the greatest and holiest society to ever exist. > 100% literacy rate > virtually zero homelessness > very little wealth inequality > unparalleled family stability > nearly everyone credibly, expressed personal faith in Christ > all fathers catechized their children in the home > 1 church per town, no denominational divisions
