It’s weird how 2026 MAGA has evolved into a form of “Messianic MAGA” with “holy war” (Hegseth), official “Trump Bibles,” and Holy Week comparisons of Trump as betrayed, persecuted, and resurrected (Paula White). Then throw in the now-deleted “Christ/Red Cross Doctor” meme. I would usually say that this is merely Boomer-Protestants making tasteless analogies, but after the last 2 weeks, I wonder whether Trump isn't gently encouraging it by promoting personnel who believe it.

It's not “Trump or Kamala.” I'm asking for the Trump that we voted for to keep his campaign promises. I see it as “Trump and his promises” vs “Trump as a liar”. I'm simply asking Trump to be what he claimed to be when he asked for our vote. If Trump won't do that, he deserves our criticism. Is that reasonable?

I mean, you have to admit that Donald Trump seems blessed. He had an election stolen from him. He was impeached twice. He was shot once and almost shot a second time. He was indicted four times and falsely convicted once. And then he turned around and won re-election in 2024, winning all seven swing states! It's hard not to believe that God likes this guy.
