Yup…this is the engineering prototype of the first ever, portable 1/2” reel-to-reel tape machine. Invented by George Daniel Rehklau of @AmpexData in 1952. It will be shipped off to the Smithsonian this year. Thank you, Mr. Rehklau. You helped shape my life.
