@Memphisblue4 Absolutely... They just want to see themselves as compassionate, but they forget to look at the situation realistically. In war, kindness can sometimes become the path to your own death.

@AndhiGrey 100% You only have to see how people have been reacting to ongoing wars that they ain't even involved in. Ppl ain't going to turn into saints after years of constant war, it would be the opposite. So if you are captured and the worst they do is taunt, you won the lottery.

I don't think I would shoot them, but honestly, I would probably still treat them harshly. I'd likely make them walk by themselves, search them thoroughly, and perhaps even taunt them a bit, even after giving them first aid.

@Memphisblue4 I know what I said, but it's funny how some people still see that as sadistic... I have a feeling that some of those advocating for 'kind treatment of prisoners' would probably react much worse than I would if they ever found themselves in the same situation, LOL

@AndhiGrey You describe your treatment as harsh but this is realistically the best deal one could hope for in this situation. Looting and taunting aint nice but id gladly take that over execution or torture which is more widespread then ppl replying to this hypothetical seem to realise imo.

@New_pyro @MakogonBogdan Dude, seriously? We're talking about a war... sure, there are rules for dealing with POWs, but reality on the battlefield is usually far messier... when their own survival is on the line, a lot of people would react the same way

@New_pyro Well... that's only if I were a soldier, if I were a civilian, I'd definitely help them. Besides, what do you expect from people in the middle of a war when they're put in a situation like that?
