@TrpstrLeonOG Only thing Dad did wrong is raise the failure you are. Nothing but excuses and wanting to be the victim. If only you could start trying now. Make him proud.

My dad retired at 59 I will not He had a pension. I have a 401k I can barely fund. He bought his house at 28. I can't touch a down payment at 30. He paid $90 a month for health insurance. I pay $430. At dinner he told me I need to be smarter with money. I nodded. Didn't tell him his entire life was built on an economy that no longer exists. Didn't tell him my generation is paying for his Social Security while ours gets gutted. Didn't tell him the ladder he climbed got pulled up right after him. Just passed the potatoes. Make it make sense

@AndrewAZ80 @ConsoomerLs Boomers were able to get a job without having to compete with the rest of the world. Foreigners are driving up housing costs because boomers opened the flood gates, Zoomers have to pay the price. Boomers get the most handouts too: pensions, tax breaks, social security, etc. SOFT.

Boomers: “Younger generations need to learn that we got our careers through hard work.” The hard work: -Wearing a tie to the interview -Firm handshake -Living during a good job market

@jeremyct Then you got a shit education. You can attend several community colleges for free, get your pre-reqs out of the way, then go to a less expensive university. ASU is $15k per year, so you'd be out $30k total. Feel dumb yet? That's how I paid my way with no loans.

My boomer dad paid $14,000 for his entire four year degree. Mine cost $95,000 at a state school. His was a private university. When I told him about my loans he said I picked the wrong school. His private university cost less than my state school. He doesn’t see the irony. He never will.

@middle_class_us When you get your driver's license in your 20s and start looking for work then as well, what do you expect? Zoomers are so lazy they didn't even try to drive right away. Currently unemployment is at historical lows. Zoomers want to be victims and want handouts. NOPE.

Gen Z unemployment is over 40%. No, they aren't lazy. The labor pool is flooded with overqualified candidates from mass layoffs. Because entry level jobs disappeared. Because companies replaced junior roles with AI before Gen Z ever had a chance to build experience. Because a 22 year old with a degree is competing against a 40 year old with 15 years of experience for the same job. Then the same people who created that environment tell Gen Z they just do not want to work.

@DragTimes I saw someone’s got a module that unlocks 8’s in a stock Plaid S. It’s kind of expensive, that’s crazy if Tesla left that much untapped.

@BDBlue80 @ConsoomerLs Just ignoring the fact that generation integrated the country, gave women the right to vote, served in a draft etc. The Zoomer tears that would come if there was a draft today would power AI data centers for decades. Soft is probably generous for how pathetic & entitled Zoomers R

@AndrewAZ80 @ConsoomerLs Right, zoomers are "soft". Definitely not the generation that was butthurt from having to drink from the same water fountain as a black person. The 50's and 60's were the easiest generations to begin accumulating wealth in (simple job market/balanced wages) and it isn't close.

@BDBlue80 @ConsoomerLs Boomers had to watch TV to see if they're forced to go to war. Zoomers couldn't handle that level of pressure. They're soft kittens. Dealing with the consequences? Try living through them. ALL of them.

@AndrewAZ80 @ConsoomerLs Vietnam = boomers fought for the military industrial complex and Kissinger Cuban Missile Crisis = Soviet fear mongering Gulf, Iraq, 9/11 = brainwashed into fighting Israel's wars Meanwhile Zoomers are dealing with consequences of the recession, savings crisis, and tech bubble.

I really think the upcoming next-gen Tesla Roadster is going to flip the entire supercar/hypercar scene upside down. Tesla has never put all its resources into an all-out performance vehicle in the modern era with the sole mission to be ridiculously capable. This car will set the precedent for what we see later in the future from Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc. I think the Roadster is going to keep those guys up all night. Just a few things we know: • Co-developed with SpaceX 🚀 • 0-60 mph in under 1 second • Engineering to be the ultimate drivers car. Remember, Tesla always makes the impossible, possible. This is gonna be epic.

@BubbaDavisJohn @niccruzpatane @grok I had a Trans Am that did 0-60 in 1 second and ran Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials to do that. It ran bottom 8s in the 1/4. Go look at TX2K cars for several that do the same 0-60 and 1/4 miles if you're curious.

@NEETzscheIDDQD Yes, if some boomer complains about real estate taxes tell them to relocate. Many do as Southern states absorb a lot of retired people. In AZ they'll freeze their taxes for a time for them for example.

This is what we're going to tell boomers when they say they can't afford their property taxes on their hyperinflated real estate.
Andrew Johnson@AndrewAZ80

@NEETzscheIDDQD Priced out of I'm your head though. You can absolutely afford a home in Maricopa AZ. You don't want to move there and instead insist you're entitled to live where you demand. Guess what princess, that was never the case for any generation.

@jeremyct Sucks to suck. My income quadrupled since 2012 and I bought a bigger house with a 4 car garage. Maybe if you blamed what you saw in the mirror instead of boomers you'd get somewhere.

In 2012 my phone bill was $45/month. Today it’s $95. In 2012 my car insurance was $80/month. Today it’s $210. In 2012 I grocery shopped for $200/month. Today it’s $460. My salary went from $42,000 to $71,000. I’m making 69% more. I’m affording 35% less. The math isn’t mathing. And boomers want to know why we’re not buying houses.

Imagine you're a boomer. You had the best economy in the history of the world. You got into a great college with shit grades (if you went at all). You had a full time job, full pension, affordable house, 4 kids, all on one income. Then you wanted your home prices to go up, so you voted for other boomers who would manipulate interest rates lower. Poof, now your home is worth 10x what you paid. Then you wanted your stocks to go higher so you got rid of pensions for everyone after you, voted for mass immigration and outsourcing. Poof, now the stock market is up 70% higher than it would have been without manipulation. Now you're a millionaire for performing at a very average level. Now that you absolutely destroyed the United States for everyone after you, its time to complain about paying taxes on the millions you were gifted through manipulation.

@bass_line1 @GeeScottSr Then you don't understand the concept. You're ignoring all of the other frivolous spending and not accounting for any interest. This is basic math and budgeting and you're still failing. I had 3 roommates to save for a house, investing every penny. Be better.

@AndrewAZ80 @GeeScottSr We understand the concept but there isn’t any reward in saving like you’re talking about. If I were getting 5 coffees for $6 each, and instead decide to save that, it’s only $1500/yr. That’s not even enough to get a used car much less a down payment on a house.

Every generation gets a story to keep them quiet. Today it’s, “You’d own a home if you’d just stop buying lattes.” Oh, so it’s the $6 coffee, and not the house that tripled in price while paychecks barely move. Thanks, Ethel.
