TRUST ME in that the feeling of losing hits a player and coach far more than it hits the cricket lovers and supporters… Ultimately all that pressure to perform for yes one’s supporters, one’s family’s, and ones country rests solely on the players and coaches shoulders… Going back to one’s hotel alone to stare at the ceiling is the worst - one does not sleep - and there is a gloom in the air for weeks ahead…! PERHAPS NEXT TIME THINK and even have some empathy before you become that ‘keyboard warrior’ or that ‘bar fly commentator’, as words are cheap and quite often many have not themselves been that ‘Warrior in the Arena’ - yet their frustrations are offloaded onto players and coaches… NO PLAYER or COACH ever goes out wanting to lose a match! Quite often however, executional errors are made and even strategic & tactical calls are made incorrectly - as that is sport and there is ultimately a winner and a loser. #cricket #WorldCup @ProteasMenCSA @cricketworldcup #T20WorldCup
