@leverus @AdamGidwitz ‘s novels are great middle grade page turners! The Minecraft series might be good, and the I Survived! series has a chokehold on my students, though 12 might be aging out of them. Cece Rios and the Desert of Souls (and sequels) has pokemon-style duels and danger!

My younger son (12) isn't much of a reader. He craves Roblox, Youtube Shorts, Fortnite, anything but a book. So I gave him the most brutally addictive novel I could think of, ENDER'S GAME ... and it's working. I think. But I can't think what to give him next. Suggestions?
