We're probably 2-3 years away from everyone admitting these guys are basically correct about all of their grievances. For now we're still at the "your reaction to this is more annoying than the thing itself" phase though.

I asked Claude to build my daughter an app that plugs into our piano, can read live key strokes, can show her sheet notes and key view and ends with a Guitar Hero style game. All while giving progressively harder songs. Today she’s using It and crushing It.

In-game Replays are finally available for Firestone Premium users!
Starting from now, all games you play can be reviewed as if you were spectating a Hearthstone game, using the game's engine. This mean you get all the animations and sound effects in your replay.

Just spent an hour today in our agentic AI coding class showing all the way Claude Code produces *subtly* bad programs for a pretty trivial application. Wrong in some ways, but just bad in other ways. Reading its output is always a sobering experience.

I am spending more on Claude than any other service I use.
By a factor of 5x.
And I never had such an easy time spending it. The return on investment is the highest out all service I use.

I read the Shumer article and then remembered that the night before it took 45 minutes and a lot of c&p’d python crash reports for Opus 4.6 to write me a chat window to spin up a local Phi-3 Mini instance.
I think he s right about the direction of the vector but probably not the magnitude.

Thought I remembered this guy! Back in September 2024 he falsified a bunch of benchmarks about his open source model, which was really just llama 3 70b or possibly a Claude wrapper. Great stuff
